2. Durban National Quilt Festival 2015
Fibreworks will be a guest exhibit at the Durban National Quilt Festival in 2015 at Kearsney College. The theme for the National Show is 'Creative Energy'. Perhaps keep this in mind if you are considering submitting additional work to the third leg of Fibreworks VIII! Helga has all the work at her house from last year's International Quilt Symposium Johannesburg. If you are making new works, send them to her by 12 June.
The web site address is:- http://festival.quiltsouthafrica.co.za/ We are resending this email below regarding the Fibreworks participation in the National Quilt Show in July in Durban at Kearnsey College. Remember it is a Fibreworks "Special Invitation" exhibition, and consequently will not be judged. 15 March is the deadline for Entries please see below.

2) We have sent out the Fibreworks VIII spreadsheet as we have it on record, and the works that we have here, at Helga's house, for the 3rd leg of the show. The organizers want you however, to capture your details on their website - see message below from Mandy Kirk with the instructions on how to do it. You are welcome to make new works. There is no charge if you paid for Fibreworks VIII last year. New members/new Fibreworks VIII participants must pay R120 entry fee into the Fibreworks account. Mark your name clearly.

You also need to send Helga the details so she can update the spread sheet for the July show as we also need to know what we are hanging.

Here is the message from Mandy Kirk:

Greetings Fibreworks members

Best wishes for a wonderful 2015!

Below is important information regarding the work you wish to enter for the Fibreworks Special Invitation Exhibitor for the 2015 Creative Energy Quilt Festival in Durban.
Each Fibreworks member must capture the details of each of their own entries onto the Festival database. This is a simple procedure done electronically via the internet - see the link below.
Each quilt will be given a unique reference number, which will assist with hanging, security and control as well as enable the quilt processing to run smoothly.
http://festival.quiltsouthafrica.co.za/exhibitform.html (just click on this link to get to the quilt capture).
Please use Category XFW (Exhibition Fibreworks) for all the quilts.

Please capture all information before 15 March 2015.

Many thanks in anticipation!

If you have any queries, please contact me.
Yours in quilting
