Title: Seduction

Description: I use synthetic textiles as a metaphor for the synthetic hyper-reality created by the western capitalistic mass consumer culture at the beginning of the 21st century. The concept embodied in my work is the seduction of women by the dynamic hyper reality. The idea is conceptualized by the use of synthetic organza, perspex and clips.

Title: Ode to Bosch I

Description: The seductive women in the work of Flemish painter Hieronymus Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights” inspired this work.

Organza has all the elements of seduction: fine texture, translucency, lightness, colour, playfulness and magic. It is the ideal fibre for communicating the idea of seduction.
